Some of Putin's facial expressions/tics remind me of George W. Bush:
Having noted, somewhat ironically, the above on Facebook I cannot help, upon further reflection, but commend, I confess reluctantly but from (some would say) a USA-first point of view, Putin's PR people for making Vova look "human" in the above clip.
The idiotic "press person" at the State Department Ms. Psaki and her bosses, I hope, will look at this clip, assuming they speak languages other than English, a language which Ms. Psaki handles like a three-year-old child.
Note, of course, that the clip cleverly uses some of Ms. Psaki's "tricks," holding posters with simple, idiotic slogans.
Of course, Vova, in the clip, supposedly "interacting" with young people, goes on and on ... no American audience would put up with Putin's blah-blah-blah.
But Russia is a land that produced rather long works of literature (ok, this Putin spectacle is at most another minor work of fiction, by no means Tolstoy or Dostoevsky), great authors few have read from beginning to end, maybe even in Russia itself.
Young, ambitious Russian PR people -- like 'em or not -- perhaps understand "Oprah" better than we do. Could they be even more cynical than we Americans have become? Or is is it the other way around?
Ask Ms. Psaki, if she's capable of answering in a comprehensible English (or any human) sentence ...
