What does "high confidence" actually mean (see below)? A way of saying "I'm not so sure"? An affirmation of what is (definitely?) "concluded" (see below NYT headline)? Avoiding getting blamed for being wrong or, even worse in the USA, "not telling the truth" (In America, we take God-given Truth seriously)? The result of smoking marijuana (sorry, I meant legalized "weed") -- and feeling, in a daze, really, highly self-confident (groovy?) about what you say, no matter how accurate -- "conclusive"? -- it may be? ![]()
