"National Character" and national characters ...

Definitely worth a look if one is interested in the Russian "mentality" -- if there is such a thing, in our increasingly globalized world, as a "national "mentality" -- or even a national "identity." And does not history suggest that "national characters" rather a "National Character" help us understand who we are as human beings?
